November Status update · 11:49pm Nov 7th, 2013
So... how about that month of october, huh? A-heh, a-heh, a-awww. I've been having a bad couple of months. Not going to go into details, but basically things haven't been conducive to writing. It's still not good, but it's getting better, and I'm definitely working on things now. I've got a chunk of the next chapter of Harmony Theory written, but it's in a state that isn't fit to publish. I want to get it out sometime next week, but... well, no promises.
In better news, Archonix drew the first piece of Harmony Theory Fanart, with this version of Nightmare Umbra. It's dark and spooky and I'm totally down with that.
I'm going to be at CANterlot Con, and I'm very excited for that. I'm on the Fanfiction panel, along with fellow authors Techogre and SaddlesoapOpera being asked questions by KMCA. I'm going to be talking about 'worldbuilding'. It's gonna be streamed so if any of you want to see me fumble around trying to be coherent in front of an audience, check it out.
I hope you're all doing well, and I'll be working to get something out ASAP.

You know, Sharaloth, it's stuff like this that makes me realize just how much we have in common. Only, I wish I had more connections within the brony community; I've got a lot of stuff to offer but don't have the resources to make it well-known.
Anyway, in case you want a secondhand opinion on world-building, here's mine:
"Good world-building requires dedication to the craft, good cognitive skills, a knack for problem solving, and passion. If you can't immerse yourself in the world as you create it, you'll be unable to recognize where its weak points are and won't know where to build upon it as a result."
