As most of you probably know, I'm rewriting Genesis and doing some major changes. Recently I've been wondering whether or not I should keep the romance between Discord and Luna, or if I should tone it down to just be a very strong friendship between the two.
Both things work fine in terms of story line progression, and I can find reasons to both include and exclude the romance.
Since I can't really decide, I thought I'd ask you, the readers.
What do you prefer?
I would actually prefer to keep the romance, as it builds up a sort of foundation for Ignis and Luna's characters. It also created a very intense feeling when Discord was killed, and I think it would give a stronger bond between Luna and Discord on the romantic side. Also, this fic was one of the rare fics that used shipping as a secondary element and did it WELL, so I kind of want to keep that as it is.
i vote for keep, if luna didn't feel as close to discord she wouldn't have dissappeared the the moon for 100 years, and discord wouldn't have felt so conflicted when killing the alicorns. And without Luna disappearing Ignis wouldn't have been able to figure out the riddles. Well this is all opinion i guess but i think it's easier to understand if they are in love.
