An itty bitty update · 2:00am Oct 4th, 2013
I've begun the process of converting ink to electrons. I hope to put a big dent in the conversion process this weekend. During the course of this editing, I've come to the conclusion that I'm much too verbose. Also, when did this story become such serious business? I'm only 2k words in, but I'm dying from embarrassment. Please, promise me, that when this whole thing is done, you only read through it once, and then never talk about it ever again with anyone.
Anyway, I'm going to be listening to a lot of 80's metal during this process, so let's see where that takes us. Maybe things will turn out better than expected. Probably not, but as the Crystal Method put it, there's hope. Don't worry, no matter how much I want it to happen, I won't make Luna suddenly start quoting Judas Priest, no matter how much I want to. Although, if it were to happen, it might go something like this:
As they lay next to each other, comfortably basking in the sweet summer afternoon, a warm, fragrant breeze fluttering their manes, causing ripples in the long, soft grass they rested upon, Luna smiled and turned to Twilight, sweetly saying, "I'm your turbo lover; tell me there's no other."
Twilight's face scrunched up in confusion and her eyebrow shot up toward her bangs. "E-excuse me?"
Luna smiled wider and leaned closer, close enough that Twilight could feel the warmth of her coat as she leaned forward to whisper into Twilight's ear, her hot breath stirring Twilight's mane and causing her sensitive ear to flick back and forth. "On and on we're charging to the place so many seek. In perfect synchronicity of which so many speak, we feel so close to heaven in this roaring, heavy load. And then in sheet abandonment, we shatter and explode!"
Or something along those lines.
Hey, another thing I'm doing this weekend. I've received a request to post the other stories I have on fanfiction.net that haven't made their way over here yet since apparently it's easier to download things from here rather than there. So if you see a bunch of new stories being posted by me, don't get too excited. They're just old ones, unless you haven't read them before, for some reason, and then they're new to you. So yay.
Anyway, I'm going to go back and keep writing, trying to keep a straight face. However, I'm sure that my tongue will be firmly planted in my cheek. Lord knows no one else wants it in theirs.
edit:
If you like Metallica, go see Through the Never. It's pretty amazing in Imax 3d. I thought my ears would begin to bleed by the time they got to Enter Sandman, and that's a good thing. I worry for the commercial success of the film though since there were only like four other dudes in the theater.
Wasn't Crystal Method also the ones that said, "That's the name of the game"? Good to hear that progress is... er, progressing.
That was such a 180 from the rest of that paragraph and it made me laugh so hard
I think I'll be the judge on your writing mister, thank you very much. Because honestly I have very little trust in your own evaluation of it. And I mean that in a good way, of course.
Btw, that test is coming up soon, right? Feeling any better about the whole thing?
Oh and also: new old stories? Sweeeeet. I don't think I've ever read any of them, even though I initially read Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying on fanfiction.net. Maybe I did and I just don't remember. *shrugs*
JP+Luna :D
Why not just ship Zecora with someone, as some kind of song fic? No problems with using lyrics that way.
Also, no promises on the only reading once thing, sorry.
Mixing metal and ponies sounds awesome as fuck! If you ever found the time, you should do a one shot fic abouit it!
Also, how much time do you figure it will take to edit the chapter after you finish copying it?

Yes, the progress made is astounding. I'm preparing to begin preparations to prepare for the further editing of the rough draft.

I'm glad I got you to laugh. I'm afraid that I've gotten used to the humor my friends and I enjoy, based upon a shared exposure to media. Thus I sometimes find myself making comments at work that would be hilarious to my friends, but which my co-workers fail to fully understand. Although, nothing has been quite as bad as when I began to absentmindedly repeat some Electric Six lyrics while coding.
Catchy as hell
As far as the test, I'm feeling more comfortable with selinux and all that jazz. I think I might even pass.

It was either that or Iron Maiden.

Because I'm not all that great at writing Zecora. And please, read it only once, or even less than that, and if you could read it without actually looking at the words, that'd be even better.

Be careful what you wish for, I now have a story idea about a ponified mixture of W.A.S.P. and Cinderella rocking out with big hair, eyeliner, lipstick, tight faux-leather pants, rocking out and getting all the mares.
The editing process will only take a day or two. The actual conversion process will probably take longer since there are holes in the original that I just skipped over for one reason or another that I need to go back and write in. It's kind of like building a house. I have all these great parts and pieces, but now I need to assemble them, and in order to do that I need to create some nails and other adhesives. Then I need to slap some drywall on and do a rough finish with the first edit, and then come back and sand it down with another edit before I prime it and send it off to the editors where hopefully we can agree on a paint color, or where I have to knock some holes in the wall to put in light fixtures. Then when everything is all said and done, I get to release it to the wild and move on to the next room.

Ruuuunnnn to the hiiiiilllllllllllsssss!
Ruuuunnnn for your liiiiifffe!
Add in Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister (maybe some Apocalyptica), and you may have the workings of the most epic thing ever.

Ha that's pretty much how it goes with my friends--lots of inside jokes and quotes from things we love that no one else understands.
Ha, you ever talk and type/code at the same time, and end up writing what you or someone else just said? I always find it funny how that happens--to me, at least.
1394251 First of all, Iron Maiden would be perfect for Luna. I can already imagine her singing "I am a mare who walks alone...".
Second of all, no can do. Really. You brought this on yourself. Next time, consider not writing the first MLP-story I read, or at least make the story less good. (Actually, don't. Keep it just the way it is. You are a programmer. Never touch a running system.)
