A New Story, and then Another Soon after That! EDIT: My Work Inspired another song! · 11:07pm Apr 7th, 2012
It has almost been a month since I put a story here on fimfic. I'm sorry for the delay, but I have had professional obligations outside of the fandom to deal with. I have just uploaded a new story called Everywhere You Are, and you can check it out by clicking on the link. This story was inspired by one of my favorite poems "Do not Stand at My Grave and Weep" by Mary Elizabeth Frye. I wrote the poem that is in the story about a month ago, but I had nowhere to publish it because of how old fashioned it was. So, I modified it and wrote a story around it. It turned out to be very similar to another story I've done, so I expect a lot of flack for that. That's okay though, I'm sure that any slings I suffer won't be any worse than those I've taken before. The story is a slice of life, so it may not feel like an actual story.
Hopefully my next story, the title of which I have not decided on, is coming up in a few days. The story was called "What Mothers Do" in my last post, and it is dedicated to a special member of my family (bet you can't guess who XP) for a certain US holiday coming up (bet ya can guess what). Though sadly, this person will not read the story.
I'm putting a lot of effort into the story but I am not sure how well it's going to come out. Since it is for someone special I want it to be flawless, but I know me, and I will make a few errors.
Thank you all for sticking with me all this time. I've noticed that over the past month and a half my writing has gotten better, and I have all of you to thank for it. I am going to get around to doing a thank you blog eventually.
Thank you all so much, and remember to smile!
EDIT: I was surprised when I recieved a message on my newest story from a member named Dimondium that said he wanted to devote a concierto to me. I thought "A whole concierto for me?" I told him he didn't have to but he did and here is the result. [Link]
The song is beautfiul and I wish my words could do what this song does. For anyone that reads my work I tell them that music, right behind my friends and life experiences, is my biggest inspiration. This song is very inspiring and I can see myself writing to this in the future. Just listen to the song and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Thank you Dimonium, I couldn't be more honored by this gesture.
Yay!!! :D
I don't think anyone cared that their was a delay because if it takes you a long time to craft another masterpiece, then we will give it to you. You did it again with your more recent story and I really doubt you will fail with the "mother" story. Stick with the way you write and nothing will go south. Love ya man. And even though you say that we are the reason you still write, I think the same thing can be said back to you. Your story D-I-V-O-R-C-E was the one that made me write Dear Twilight. Your my inspiration and I respect you. Thank you for what you do.

Hey Crit! Thank you for the enthusiasm!
I really appreciate that Magic. It's really hard to believe that my work has actually inspired people. I hope my mother story will do well. I have sincere doubts it will feature because of the new feature system that we have, but at least a few folks will read and enjoy it. You are always welcome for what I do of course, but honestly I feel like I should be thanking you.
Eventually I'm going to move on from my work here and go back into the writing world, and when I do I'm going to bring everything I learned here with me. I won't be disappearing of course, but I won't be able to write as many stories here. My goal is, before I start writing more in "the outside world" that I get one more feature on here. I know that sounds arrogant but I think it's something that would be nice. I plan on doing a post about this in maybe a month or so, but until then I have a few more stories I want to write.
If you ever feel that something is wrong in your wording of your story, just send it over to me and I'll sort it out. I'll be at my best, especially if it's meant to be flawless for such a beloved person.
Say the word, and I'll get right to it.
