Hi there! If you saw this pop up on your notifications, and blinked, thinking to yourself, "Who's this Habanc-guy? Didn't he do that thing or another?" then I'm not terribly surprised. I used to be around FimFiction a lot, once upon a time. I think my last story was published in January.

    Update

Hi! Sorry about going dormant (especially to my skype buddies, who I miss greatly), it's just that life is throwing some serious one-twos right about now. Not in a bad way, but more of a "Hey this is important stuff for your career" and "Go write a dissertation on Virginia Woolf" and "Dude this is why you came to school, go make cool sounds and stuff".

The Tipsy Ramblings of a Bored Complainer

So, the semester ended last week. I can sleep now! And then, imagine my surprise as I woke up yesterday morning, to find that my laptop charger had melted. Hurray! No writing or anything until Monday! I'm typing this all on my phone and that, on it's own, makes me want to scoop handfuls of toxic Vegemite into my mouth! Woohoo!

So what did I decide to do?

    I'm alive, I suppose. (Updates)

School's been raging on for awhile now, and I have been more busy than I'm used to. Needless to say, going cold turkey from three meals a day and eight hours of sleep to one-and-a-half meals and six hours of sleep hasn't been too wonderful the past few weeks. Isn't college fun?

My knee, that is. Short story short, a really big, heft guy put all his weight behind a slapshot that hit me under the kneecap. With no padding.

So yeah! Luckily my kneecap didn't shatter, but all the ligaments around it are strained and bruised and it's pretty swollen. So, I really shouldn't be walking. Or moving my knee at all for a few days.

Fortunately, that gives me a much needed respite from the crap of daily life to write some more.

As of now, for Kinetics:

Chapter Eight - 50% done, currently around 3,000 words.

Also, I'm overhauling the majority of Chapter One. It's stuck out like a sore thumb and I've been putting off editing it for too long. Luna is too OC, the reasoning behind traveling to another plane is too poorly supported, and the conversations and inner monologues are either unrealistic or rough around the edges. Rather than try to fix each paragraph, I'm just throwing everything out and giving myself a new canvas.

Oh, and I finally obtained a new laptop. Goodbye, HP Crudtop with your constant crashing, overheating, hassles to free up HDD space due to your tiny hard drive, and minimal battery power! Hello, Macbook Pro! (Srs though how do I mac?)

Nooooooooooooooooooooo... You got a Mac, why? Why did you do this? Hope your Mac burns and dies, oh and hope you knee gets better soon.

I'm going to school for animation, and my college's Animation department (and its labs) are all mac-based. Sort of ironic since most animation houses use PC's with some blend of linux, but hey, my parents insisted upon buying this for me (instead of a PC which I would've had to come up with on my own).

I personally wanted a Sager custom-built by Malibal, but oh well. It's still lightyears ahead of Crudtop.

Thank you! ...and thanks, too, I guess! I swear I felt my knee bend backwards but to be honest I don't remember much from the whole incident.

1280673 ok, if your elders got it for you that's fine as long as YOU didn't waste your money.

LINUX HELL YEAH!!!
