MLP Rule 34 Update: July 2013 / Major Announcement · 4:56am Jul 6th, 2013
It's the fifth of the month, so you know what that means. That's right! It's time for another in-depth analysis of clop! 
Specifically, I'm talking about Rule 34 statistics. For those of you who have missed the previous entries into this series, I've archived them below.

As of July 5, 2013, here's the state of Rule 34, according to Rule34.paheal.net:
Pokemon still holds the lead with 61,783 images. 1,018 new explicit images were added during June, giving Pokemon a 1.6% increase in porn from last month.
Touhou is in second place with 40,469 images. 736 new explicit images were added during June, giving Touhou a 1.8% increase in porn from last month.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is in third place with 32,857 images. 1,847 new explicit images were added during June, giving My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic a 5.9% increase in porn from last month.
DC Comics is in fourth place with 21,561 images. 268 new explicit images were added during June, giving DC Comics a 1.2% increase in porn from last month.
Street Fighter is in fifth place with 16,249 images. 247 new explicit images were added during June, giving Street Fighter a 1.5% increase in porn from last month.
Naruto is in sixth place with 16,158 images. 255 new explicit images were added during June, giving Naruto a 1.6% increase in porn from last month.
Marvel Comics is in seventh place with 15,483 images. 266 new explicit images were added during June, giving Marvel Comics a 1.7% increase in porn from last month.
Sonic Team is in eighth place with 13,044 images. 253 new explicit images were added during June, giving Sonic Team a 1.9% increase in porn from last month.
Digimon is in ninth place with 10,781 images. 65 new explicit images were added during June, giving Digimon a 0.6% increase in porn from last month.
Idolm@ster is in tenth place with 10,374 images. 68 new explicit images were added during June, giving Idolm@ster a 0.6% increase in porn from last month.
My Little Pony is less than 8,000 images away from surpassing Touhou as the second-largest porn producer. At the current rate of growth, MLP should topple Touhou before March of 2014. That timeline may change, depending on how much new potential for porn we get in the fourth season of Friendship is Magic.
Touhou may be ahead now, but their days in second place are numbered.
Before I forget, here's an update on Rule 34 images for the mane six:
Twilight Sparkle
has 4,855 images. 280 explicit images were added during June, giving her an 6.1% increase from last month.
Rainbow Dash
has 4,259 images. 233 explicit images were added during June, giving her a 5.5% increase from last month.
Pinkie Pie
has 3,721 images. 211 explicit images were added during June, giving her an 6% increase from last month.
Fluttershy
has 3,601 images. 198 explicit images were added during June, giving her a 5.8% increase from last month.
Rarity
has 3,084 images. 192 explicit images were added during June, giving her a 6.6% increase from last month.
Applejack
has 3,028 images. 178 explicit images were added during June, giving her a 6.2% increase from last month.
Congratulations to Rarity and Applejack for both rising above 3,000 explicit images! Now all members of the mane six can boast that they each have more porn drawn of them than Starfire (1,976), Jessica Rabbit (2,306), Rogue the Bat (2,479) and Krystal from Star Fox (2,434).
In spite of these accomplishments, there are still some individual characters who have more smut drawn of them than the mane six.
For example, Misty currently has 3,086 explicit images, Wonder Woman (3,381), Kimberly Ann Possible (3,439), Princess Peach (3,919), Lara Croft (4,567) and Chun-Li (6,516).
It may take awhile, but the explicit express won't stop until the mane six are the undisputed princesses of porn.

I have an announcement to make. For the last 11 months I have gathered statistical data on the growth of porn. This will be the last such update.
Rest assured that I'm not forsaking smut. If anything, my future plans are much more ambitious.
The reason for this change is because I now have access to more data. I can go back to the day Friendship is Magic premiered on 10-10-10. I can check the rule34.paheal.net archives and track the rise of My Little Pony porn from the inception of G4. 
Before friendship is Magic aired, there were less than 100 explicit images of My Little Pony. Nearly three years later, MLP has become the third-largest producer of porn behind Touhou and Pokemon.
There won't be any more updates on the fifth of the month. I'm pushing the day of the next update back five days to August 10th, 2013.
I'll go and catalog the porn stats for all top ten producers, as well as the numbers for the mane six starting from Oct. 10th, 2010 until the current day.

This update was coming down to the wire, which is why it was more bare bones than usual.
Next month will make up for it though, since I'm going to cram nearly three years worth of data into one blog post.

I'm still surprised that Pokemon has managed to stay #1 this whole time. Ever since I started reading these R34 statistics of yours, Pokemon was always top dog. And with the arrival of the next gen coming October 13th, I can only imagine that keeping them #1 for a good while longer.
Now on the MLP side of things...less than 100 images before Friendship is Magic!? Amazing what this fandom can accomplish in three short years.

Yes, but does this include Touhou Doujinshis? Because if it doesn't (Which I'm sure is the case), then Touhou far surpasses MLP:FiM in terms of porn, and perhaps even Pokemon by more than 100,000 images I'm sure.
