Aurora

I've come a looong way from awkwardly smashing two plastic pony toys together whilst making kissy-kissy noises... Haven't I?

    Nosing & Tasting - Revisions?

Ask any of my friends and fellow authors, and they'd probably tell you that one of the biggest downsides of being (vaguely) acquainted with me is that, every single time I'm about to publish something, I invariably turn to one of them in the middle of a pre-publishing nervous breakdown, utterly convinced that I've just written the worst thing ever. :raritydespair:

Hey, are you sitting down right now? Good. 'Cause I just finished a story I wrote.

Yeah, I know, I know, it's completely unbelievable: Aurora just changed one of her stories' statuses (statii?) to 'Completed?!' NO WAI!

Status update on Nosing & Tasting · 10:26pm Jul 4th, 2013

Hey guys, it's already been five days since chapter 1 of Nosing & Tasting was released. The response has been mostly positive, for which I am genuinely happy and grateful.

When I wasn't busy helping Steel Resolve with the next installment of his wonderful Raripie fic I Love To See You Smile -- which you should totally check out if you haven't already, or, or, well, I'm just not talking to you anymore, you big stupid-head! -- I've been plugging away as promised. As a result, chapter 2 -- entitled, of course, 'La part des petits poneys magiques' -- is now approximately 4000 words long, and growing steadily. I was aiming for a length comparable to chapter 1 (ie. 6000-7000 words), so, with a little luck, I should be able to release it the coming weekend.

Stay tuned, folks, and thank you all again.

<3,

- A.

YAY! Octyhuman smut ahoy! :pinkiehappy:

Joking aside (kinda :raritywink:) I strongly look forward to it. :ajsmug:

It's good, and honeslty I haven't been reading much until recently, but I'm dying to see more see where Fanservice goes. I think I had problems not talking about it while I was running the Trotcon fanfic panel (which was supposed to be g rated but there weren't any kids in the room...)

That would've been an awkward panel...

"Well kids, it's this fic, see, and in it Rainbow Dash pays a visit to this guy, and they, uh, cuddle. Yeah, cuddle is good. But then, psych!--It's actually his girlfriend. Painted blue."

All kidding aside, I'm flattered you're even still thinking about that one. I've really gotten myself into a right pickle, not finishing my projects like a good author and instead starting new ones whenever the going gets rough... And now I have sort of a luxury-problem, with multiple fics and ideas in varying states of readiness at my disposal, and people actually being eager to see some of them released...

I'd really like to finish the ones that have been sitting without an update for so long first, but I've found it works best for me to flit around and work on whatever happens to inspire me at the moment. I just... can't force these things apparently. I'm terrible and undisciplined like that. But I'll try to see Bechdel's Law, Morrow, and Fanservice through to the end, and, hopefully, do them justice.

Totes. I can't seem to focus on my writing either and nothing ever feels complete enough for me to submit so I know exactly what you're saying.
Besides, it's your work, and you should do it at your own pace.
