Status Report June · 10:06pm Jun 25th, 2013
So, it's been a while since I updated Harmony Theory. Rest assured that I have not abandoned the fic for other pursuits, I've just been massively sleep deprived as my current contract neared its end. Well, that contract ends this friday, so I'll be able to relax for a bit. I have the next chapter mostly written, but until I get some serious sleeping in, I can't guarantee when it'll be done. Early July is what I'm aiming for.
Some of you may have noticed a new addition to my story list. This lovely piece of lavender lunacy comes straight from the darkest corners of my sleep-deprived brain, and as such it is just going to get sillier. Yes, there are more chapters forthcoming, but only two or three. I've submitted it to EqD in the hopes that they wouldn't get the joke and we could all share a laugh about it. Sadly, they got the joke, and thought it was kinda funny too. Not 'HA-HA' funny, more 'subdued chuckle' funny, but funny nonetheless. They did that 'no strikes, just clean it up and resubmit' thing they do with me. I cleaned it up and resubmitted, but I didn't take all their advice (some of it was unnecessary), and I haven't heard back from them yet, so who knows what's going on there. Maybe they'll post it, maybe they won't. I think they've got an 'anything but Harmony Theory' policy about me, so I'm pretty sure the odds are good it'll show eventually.
My teased-at third addition to the Fallen World stories is also in the writing stage. I've given it the tentative title of 'Sword and Song' and it's going to be a multi-part adventure story starring our favorite robot demon marshmallow Crusader, Sweetie Belle. Expect more of the usual for the Fallen World, and some new stuff as well. I'm excited about it, and I hope you'll all like it when it's done.
Anyways, that's what's going on with me. I hope you don't mind the wait, and I hope you enjoy what I've written!

Early July, eh? That works for me. I have only two chapters left of the slowest Harmony Theory read through ever, so I definitely should be caught up by then.
Fallen World is the best AU series.

Sounds like mostly good news to me.
I was suspecting that Sweetie Belle would be next. Guess that rules out the West as the location. The South has been important in both fics so far, so I suspect that if it isn't where Sword and Song is located, it'll be where the fourth is.
More Harmony Theory will be good when it gets here and more Lavender Unicorn Syndrome will also be fun.

1168848 Thank you. And seriously, you deserve more recognition for Harmony Theory. It's without a doubt my favorite fic on this site, and my opinion is "correct" in every sense of the word.
LUS was a clever idea, and I like clever ideas. But I wonder why we didn't like Harmony Theory.

The problem the pre-readers have had with Harmony Theory is the prologue. They thought it was boring and didn't bother to read beyond it. I don't know which specific pre-reader it was, but that was literally their response. Anyways, it's at two strikes and I'm not likely to try for the third unless I've got some reasonable assurance that they'll give it a fair shake. So the whole thing gets relegated to running joke status.
As to LUS, I'm surprised no one else has done it. It seemed so obvious.
