Holy Damn my life has been crazy lately · 4:28am Jun 9th, 2013
TL;DR, scroll down for update news.
First of all, I would like to apologize to everybody for the delay in updating anything. For the last three weeks, my life has been insane. I'm not looking for pity here, just offering an explanation. Preparing for the fundraising job for which I was hired was actually a lot of work, and I ended up failing the evaluation: I'm really no salesman. Then came relationship issues (single now), on top of becoming an atheist. My faith had been an important part of my life up until last Sunday, so it's been an interesting adjustment. Last of all, the job search is going horribly. Absolutely no one is hiring for positions that would be worth a lease.
The good news is that I'm diving fully into writing. It's going to be wake up, eat, exercise, then start writing. I'm going to try and make it as a freelance writer (seriously, as I'm sure some of you could attest, the job market is utter shit), since that seems the most viable method for winning my bread and bacon. I've got to develop a portfolio first, so a decent chunk of my mornings will be spent writing fanfiction for practice and to warm up. I spent today cleaning my room and setting it up as a proper office, minimizing distractions, and I'm quite pleased with it.
So where does this leave updates? The next chapter of One Honest Mare as well as the first of the Casebook will be out by the end of this week, the former sooner than the latter. I know some of you were hoping that I would work on Bab's prequel/side story first, so hopefully getting to see best filly in the next update will make up for it. Those of you waiting for a Courage update, I must apologize, as you will be waiting a bit longer. I'm very unhappy with the direction it's taking. I seriously started writing it for the laughs, and did not expect anyone to like it. As soon as I am happy with where it's going, and happy with the product which I will be presenting to you, I'll be pumping out chapters, because single and doing nothing but writing.
Best of luck.
1133363 Thank you! Here's hoping hard work and dedication can fill in where luck leaves off!
Dramatically altering your worldview is pretty intense. You have all my sympathies.
