Some more shout outs and a question~ · 9:01am May 26th, 2013

First up, obviously, the appledash! I mean duh. What else did you expect >_>

Unlicensedbrony continues to write some great AppleDash stories. Trial Run remains one of my all time favorites, but this time we're highlighting Recklessness. How Applejack deals with some aspects of Dash's personality~

Then, the highlight of this shoutout: This fic came out of nowhere. It just got added a few days ago, and already has 18k words in 2 chapters... And. It's. Awesome. Tenacious Dash. Yes, as you can probably guess, it's music related. But it's not a fic where Dash is already a rock star - no, she's only just had the idea to form a band - with her best friend, Applejack. Who humors Dash - and... 'things' ensue from it. It's funny, well written, and I cannot wait for more. The fic only has 100 views, and the writer, Hipster Cloudchaser, only 5 followers. This is an outrage, and needs to be changed! GO!

Lastly: While writing has started for the AppleDashLight fic, I've been distracted by Bookplayer's Variety is the spice of life challenge. The challenge is: 15 prompts, 15 ships, 1000 word minimum.
The basic version is to choose 5 prompts, and assign that prompt to 5 different ships, and write a fic for them (as in, not 5 x 5, just 5 prompts = 5 fics). Or, the hard mode is to do all 15 ships using all 15 prompts - so, 15 chapters of shipping. Earning you the designation, as bookplayer puts it, of "shipping badass". Jondor, who wrote the wonderful Pick Me Up At Seven, has a good example of how it works here: Shipping Grab Bag.

Of course, the only idea i had so far made it even harder on myself: all 15 ships... within the same setting. So far, I've written the first chapter - RariDash, and it's at 2.1k~ words. However, the idea for this setting has several "sequences" of stories - ship chapters that follow each other in that particular sequence of events. The first of the 3-4 sequences has 3 chapters - and only the first is written.

The question is: are you people interested in seeing the first chapter already, or would rather wait for the first sequence, at least, to be completed? Drop a comment! As a fair warning, these chapters aren't as vigorously edited/worked on as my other works - this is a side-project type of thing, for fun.

(And for something unrelated, someone buy me one of these, please. She's too adorable for words. )

post it sequence by sequence i like the flow bether that way.

for maximum motivation boost, post chapter by chapter hehe

Per sequence seems like to most sensible thing to do.

That's what I'm leaning towards, honestly. Most of them will be sequences of 3 chapters, but the second sequence will have 6. So, 3/6/3/3, as far as I can tell. :rainbowhuh:

I agree with 1105379. Doing it by sequence would have better flow to the story in my opinion.

Post complete arcs, however that works out. It helps retain readers if I don't need to go back and remind myself what happened past time you posted something for this fic...

Seriously, that's why I normally wait for stories to be completed before I finish reading if the first chapter was promising.

Also, you damn near have me a heart attack at the end there. Bastard.

Oh my god, that Derpy is absolutely adorable.

Yay, I get a shoutout!:rainbowkiss:
Also, about it coming out of nowhere, I actually originally wrote the one-shot thing back on April Fool's Day (totally not intentional). It's just taken this long for my friends to prod me into putting it up on FimFiction :twilightblush: Probably wouldn't have ever put it up if not for them. SO BLAME THEM.
