Greetings.
To begin with, like some/many of you, my finals are just kicking off, so my normally slow writing will become even slower for a good 1.5 weeks. I still feel downright lousy for keeping you waiting for so long for each of my chapters. Hopefully the wait will be worth it.
On a more serious note, one of my readers just notified me that someone by the name of "Battle Damage" on fanfiction.net has stolen my story and is passing it off as his own work under the title "Into the Black."
First off, this is not me. His account has only existed since 10/4/13, and my story has been on FimFiction since 3/14/12. I know stealing fanfiction is not exactly high treason, but it is kind of a big deal to me. This guy obviously found my story here and stole it, claiming it as his own with a new title. As far as I can tell from a brief scan, the only differences are the title and that my 2nd and 3rd chapters have been combined.
Anyone with a fanfiction.net account and a willingness to help me out here, please PM this "Battle Damage" and tell him that he stole my work. Provide links back to my story here, point out the publication date, and use the fanfiction.net "Report Abuse" function. I just made an account there to report him, but I have to wait 24 hours before sending PMs. Help me out here, and please be polite but firm about it. When my PM function unlocks, I will make my case. Hopefully this guy will see reason and apologize.

EDIT--UPDATE: Sent the writer a PM and reported it to the fanfiction.net staff.
This kinda crap was why I'm so paranoid about putting work on the internet...
I don't have a Fanfic account so I cant help you there sorry, But i think a mate of mine does and I'll ask him next time he's on steam.
Sucks, bro. It might be flattering if it wasn't so disgusting. Don't let it ruin your day, though; whoever he is, he's as bad at stealing as he is at being original.
