    The Long and Winding Road

So yeah. It's been a while, huh? I can try and blame a vast multitude of things on why I haven't been doing really anything recently, but that'd only be half true.

But making excuses for my lack of activity isn't why I'm here right now.

Okay, maybe they weren't too exaggerated after all.

11 days without power or heat. That's what that damn hurricane did to me. I'll see what I can put together because I haven't posted anything in far too long.

Also the new eps were pretty good. Couple of interesting tidbits that I think hint at things yet to come.

The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.

I am alive, I do plan on resuming updating, and I think you're all swell.

I'll be writing a short one-off for the Halloween event for the TCB group, similar to my Jersey Devil story from last year; just not in that same format. Let's see if these last two months haven't sapped my ability to write.

LAST MAN STANDING SEQUEL BLOG POAST

Yeah so remember when I said that I was going to work on that sequel to Last Man Standing as my NoPoWriMo entry? Lots of stuff came up that prevented me from feeling any kind of desire to write. At all.

    BUT!

    End of a story

So Ten Days is done! I'll toss an epilogue up when I get around to it, but right now I'm working on the opening chapter to my LMS sequel. I was going to make it an awesome adventure story, but because my brain isnt working nice, I'm dropping that and taking it another route, something more localized and simpler. Something that'll pull me out of my comfort zone.

So yeah. It's been a while, huh? I can try and blame a vast multitude of things on why I haven't been doing really anything recently, but that'd only be half true.

But making excuses for my lack of activity isn't why I'm here right now.

My college senior design project is in its last week, meaning once Saturday's presentation is over, I'm free from its evil clutches forevermore. And yes, I do actually want to write some stuff again; pony and maybe even non-pony. I won't lie: I've been deliberately distancing myself from the fandom in recent months, for many reasons, some of which have to do with the colossal amount of drama that is always going on, but also it has to do with a combination of burnout and disinterest. I greatly enjoyed the fandom in its early days, and around season 2, but as season 3 rolled through, I found myself not actively pursuing new episodes, and I didn't mind.

But whatever. I have a 20 page report on thermoelectrics to have written up by friday, as well as a kick-ass presentation for saturday. But after that I think I'm going to start with a short one-shot. Don't know what of, but I want to use it mainly to get me back into the swing of things. I haven't written a story in well over a year to my best knowledge when I finished Ten Days, and hell, maybe I'll pick Ring of Fire back up. I still have all the notes for it. Oh and that mysterious LMS sequel. We'll see about working on that. Who knows? Maybe my muse will decide to stop by and hang out for a bit.

We'll see. I'll still have finals to worry about later in May, but aside from Summer classes I will have plenty of free time this summer.

And because I miss you all, have some music.
