    It's been a while

I feel like I should start by apologizing, since it's been roughly 2 years since I posted anything here. I guess it's safe to say I don't feel especially associated with the fandom anymore. And as far as art goes, I'm more of a visual person as opposed to a writer.

    The state of history

Hello there, people hopefully interested in my story! As you might have noticed, the last couple of chapter came out outrageously slow. I'll be going over why that was, and what I will change to prevent that from happening again. If this doesn't interest you and you'll just wait to see when I post the next set of trouble our heroes will get into, feel free to leave now. For those still here, here

Introduction and Writing History! · 8:42pm Mar 19th, 2012

Oh! Hello there! What's this? A blog, you say? Well then, let's get blogging, shall we? I'll tell you a little about myself and my story, Writing History.

About me, I'm a brony, obviously. For 3 months now, I should think. Recently got into this whole fanfiction thing, and I thought to myself 'what the hay, why not try it myself?'. It's strange, because I never attempted serious creative writing before this. I guess this amazing community has that effect on people. Apart from writing, I like to draw and make pretty pictures. :3 I study game design as a visual artist, so that ought to help me get better in that regard. (In case you are wondering, yes I made the cover image myself. A high-resolution version, you ask? Why sure, right here!) School can be rather demanding, so I might be forced to take time off writing when homework piles up, I hope you can forgive me should that cause chapters to be delayed.

Well then, about my one and only story! Writing History. It's my first serious attempt at fiction, or any creative writing in that regard. Some people may think it would a good idea to start with a one-shot, or some other short story. But I say neigh to that! I want my first project to be as ambitious as I am rubbish. That is to say, quite ambitious. The origins of the story are rather funny, if your interested. It all started when I was doodling some random ponies in Photoshop, and caught in the spirit of reading fanfiction, I started making up background stories for the doodled ponies. From there it kind of spiralled out of control, and today I find myself here, writing history! (See what I did there?)

But I digress (I tend to do that in blog posts or other assorted rambling, this has no correlation to my story writing, I hope :P). With Writing History I am aiming at producing an epic. That is to say, 200 thousand words or more. Judging by the story arcs I intend on doing, and how much words I used to write out the story arcs I already have, I say that isn't a totally unrealistic goal. An overly ambitious goal for my first work, perhaps. But if you don't aim high, you're not going to get high. A huge shout-out goes to my editor, and all-round amazing guy Hellfire657! (Seriously, do you even have an account on here? Make one, you slacker!) The story just wouldn't be the same without him! (No really, it probably wouldn't exist if he didn't motivate me or helped me improve the story.)

And... I ran out of things to ramble about. I'm sorry, I do am terrible at these blog posts, I never quite know what to say. All I can say at this point, is that I appreciate the kind words and feedback I have recieved so far! And I hope to continue seeing those tracking my story until the end! Let's make it a good one fellows!
