Another Survey & Twilight Story Update!! · 3:20am Mar 17th, 2013
Before I get to the survey, I have a quick update on my Twilight Story. Chapter 1 is done and ready to go, I just need to finish the second half of chapter 2 and I should be able to submit sometime tomorrow. I'd finish it tonight, but I'm not really with it. Thankfully I have the weekend off, that's why I went out to hang with my best friend. So there is still time for me to finish proofing tomorrow, following a good night's sleep. I'm glad that as I've worked out the last of the bugs that this story is coming along with a nice beginning. The way the romance starts is a little different than some of my stories, but I think it should offer some welcomed variety. And together the two chapters total nearly 17,000 words. Chapter 1 is around 9,300 and chapter 2 is over 7,400 words presently.
Now, while you continue to wait on my new story, I have yet another survey I'd enjoy getting your feedback on. It deals with some of the more questionable content in some of my stories, mares peeing. I remember last April, stumbling on a story by TwilightPsycho called "Spike's Urine Lust". Well curiosity got the better of me and I checked it out, the writing style was good and the content was somewhat relevant to my interests. Through some story searches I found similar stories by another writer known as HighLevelTeen. These two writers introduced me to an audience that really enjoyed this fetish being added to pony fics. Thus I thought, maybe I could write a similar story, which lead me to write "Cadence's Naughty Little Fetish". This story is what go me started down the path to clopfics, but as you know I ended up opting to make them more on the tasteful side. Anyway, seeing how the other pony peeing stories did on here, I never expected my first shot at it to do so well. So that's why I continued to adapt this fetish to some of my other stories.
Now before I ramble on further, let me get to the point. Anyway, I know following my Nurse Redheart series a number of readers were split on the whole pee thing. So last night at work I got to thinking - why not ask my fans and readers what they think of this type of content in my stories. With that in mind - Which of the following best describes your response to the mares that pee in some of my stories and are joined by their human/stallion lovers?
A. I think it's disgusting, please don't put such content in your stories.
B. It's just not my thing, I'd prefer if you left it out, but it's your story.
C. I don't mind it that much, even though it seems a bit weird to me.
D. I like it. Those scenes add something different to your stories.
E. I love it! I hope you'll put such content in more of your fics in the future.
So if you don't mind, let me know which option best describes your feeling on the matter. Now, I will be continuing to put such content in my stories, but your responses will help me determine how much I need to vary using such content. I know I will never be able to please everyone, but I like you all to know that I keep your thoughts and ideas in mind. Ultimately I write for myself, because I want to, but I always need awesome readers like you, so I hold surveys like these and the others I've had to let you have a say!

A. I'm a close minded bigoted individual who thinks certain things need to remain separate from what I aim to read for enjoyment. Feel free to write it, but I sure as hell won't read it. It's one of a few things that utterly grosses me out and leaves me looking for Listerine and Brain Bleach while I self inflict a concussion in the hopes of completely forgetting I ever saw it.

Well I have to say that Its your story so you can add what you want to them and I'd like to add that I like it because its unique and although It isn't a fetish of mine I understand the logic behind and like that concept behind it. So in short I say D. Do what you normally do and it will turn out just fine.

Option B is exactly how I feel. We all have our quirks, pee is just not one of mine. Your however are the writer and I will enjoy the story regardless, count on it.
I have to say 75% C, and 25% B.
On another note, awesome to hear that you Twilight story is just about done, and I eagerly await its posting.

If you had asked me this before I read any of your stories, I would have immediately said A. But ever since I read "More Than Their Customer" and "You Brighten My Day"; the stories that made me follow you, I gave your stories with the pee fetish a try. While it's still not my thing, it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. The reason I love your stories is because of the huge amount of love that you can feel from the couple in the story and that is still in the ones with the pee fetish, so I don't let that stop me from reading them. So my answer now would be between B and C.
Instinctively my answer is A. But I'm going to have to say B. It's not my thing at all but I'm for the most part indifferent I just tend to read a little faster or scroll down when I see it.
Happy that your story is coming along really well, I'll definitely read your Twilight story as soon as you post it -- there is so much anticipation behind it

As for the peeing fetish.....Hmm, I'm not gonna lie that it's not the biggest fetish I'm crazy for, really at all -- for all my open-minded behavior, I do eventually have my limits and their is some content I value more than others and some that simply turn me off.....in the end, it is the person's story, and what doesn't work for me, undoubtedly works for someone else, so it's really just a matter of finding the kind of story that suits your tastes....and as someone said, that sort of fetish is rare to find in stories.
In a sense, it also depends on how you present the fetishes, whether in a very small way to try to appear tasteful to people who may not be crazy for it, or going hard-core to appeal fully to the people who do, while undoubtedly casting away the people who don't -- again, everyone has different tastes and it's up to, more so the reader than the writer, to find and read the things that suit them. That all said, I'm happy that you are taking the time to understand your readers and how they feel, rather than just adding whatever content you want and to hell with them, even if it's your stories. As much as it's your stories, you also want to respect your audience, which means understanding what they want

That all said, this particular fetish.....is not one that I'm honestly crazy for -- as before, I'm simply not, and I feel I would be hurting myself if I said I was okay for certain things that I'm simply not (not right now anyway).....it's not good to, in your attempt to be open to any and all things, to say you didn't mind something even if you are visibly and unconsciously cringing: you have to learn to take care of yourself, and forcing yourself to like something, even with well-intentions like trying to be open-minded, is not really a healthy or wise thing to do. Of course, as before, it depends on how you present it, because if it was done in a more sensual tasteful fashion, it could still attract and appease those who aren't crazy for it rather than going hardcore. Even if you go that route, It's not like I still wouldn't read your story

But no, if you want the honest truth, I wouldn't call it the absolute worst fetish that some people have which utterly turns me off (that dubious honor belongs to scat), but it's definitely near the bottom for me.....in any case, you brought up something important -- that you started opting toward fics that are more tasteful....it's something I'm glad you brought up, because it's something I feel you should keep in mind: I haven't read all of your stories yet, particularly that Cadence story....but when it comes to your fics, what attracts me the most, and I think a lot of people, is that course you have taken: that adorable endearing tone....it certainly what was attracted me when I first discovered your works. That's not to say you can't still play with certain fetishes, but I do nevertheless remind you to keep that in mind, and the further into the fringe-fetishes you go, you would do well to put up warnings for people so they know what to expect if they start reading: of course, you already do this which is nice.
In any case, to conclude....It's not the worst fetish, but it's not necessarily far off....it really depends on how you present it, but as a whole, I'm very "meh" or "
" toward it...I won't dislike your story nor would I not read it if you include it, but it's simply not what I would call among my favorable among fetishes....again, it undoubtedly speaks to some people, and they will cheer loudly for it -- I suppose my advice is to try to, if it's what you choose, to take it easy so you won't cast away the people who simply don't like it. Undoubtedly, some authors have with this stuff because that's simply what they enjoy, and the audience who loves it does as well....even so, this is my advice to you.

I'll say C. While the whole peeing thing (which is apparently called water-sports for some reason) doesn't disgust me that much, it's not much of a fetish for me. However fetish is variable as well as subjective like everything, and such people have different taste and tolerance for any given subject of fetish. Therefore, I say do as you damn well please, that is the glory of waiting fanfics after all. I commend you for hearing the thoughts of your reader about such subjective matter.

Oh, I know. I was attempting to be slightly humorous while answering the question he had posed. Personally, though, I'd rather not see this, or any of the other 'far ____' fetishes, in pony stories, porn or not. Some BDSM is good (Rarity and AJ comes to mind, good lord!), but beyond that sort of stuff, it's not what I want to see in pony writing. I've been scarred elsewhere on the internet rom my curiosity, don't need FIM adding to that. Now that I've rambled on a bit...
And on another note, I've noticed a lot of folks walking the centerline here. Something tells me it's more because of WHO is writing it rather than the subject that is coloring the answers here, I'm fairly certain most folks would go up a choice (C - B, B - A) if it wasn't Jaydex asking, or if it was an open poll not specific to anything other than the subject.
I can only say 'B'. That is simply all I have to tell you.
For me it's C or D, I mean it's not my thing but if it is done right it could not only just be some fetish but it could make the story more interesting.
