The Strangest of Things... · 2:31pm Feb 24th, 2013
It seems that I always end up thinking the strangest of things at the strangest of times... Particularly for someone like me who loves writing and has also dabbled in software design and metalinguistics. Particularly after something particularly world-shatteringly significant happens.
This came to light when I was in the shower this afternoon having an internal discussion with myself about syntax. Namely the difference between having (a [mum and dad]) and having (a [mum] and [dad]). If you've done any software design you'll understand. I just found it strange that, after everything, I found myself thinking about something as trifling as that...
At any rate, aforementioned (but not explained) life's-foundation-crumbling event has made me realise (through an extensively eccentric connection) that I haven't been treating you, my readers, anywhere near as well as I should, what with broken promises about update times, and general laziness making for slow updates. In light of this, I've set my jaw, and decided to knuckle down and get this thing done. I'm hopeless at scheduling and predictions, but I'm determined now, and I'm gonna try as hard as I can to have some more chapters out for you all soon.
I've also got some killer ideas for a few new stories too, that I'll probably start on at least when chapter 4 of Never too Shy to Love is published. One you might find of particular interest involves Lightning Dust from The Wonderbolt's Academy. I've not read a single fic about her yet, though I'm sure there are a few kicking around out there, and various people in various places (mostly Youtube) have encouraged me to get on it. I'll have more info about it later, as I think I should wrap this up now, being an extremely long, 1:30am first blog post as it is.
I want to thank you all for reading my stories as well: your feedback and appreciation goes a long way to helping me become a better writer. I'm just sorry I haven't been too consistent with my uploads, but hopefully that'll change now. I'll get the metaphorical whip cracking!
Stay Pony my friends.
