Hey, everyone, how is it going? Just a short blog on how my stories are getting on, and some of my ideas, as well as some views on one of the most recent rumours and stories that have cropped up.
Firstly, ‘An Expression Of Love’. This story is coming along swimmingly, with chapters six and seven in the writing process, and I am having a lot of fun with this one, to be honest. The interaction between Fluttershy and Twilight are just a joy to write, and I’m glad and pleased about the praise I’m getting from these interactions, and the fact they are staying in character as well, something that I worry about all of the time, especially in ‘Last of the Dragonlords’ and its sequel.
Speaking of ‘Last of the Dragonlords: A Good Mare Goes To War’, I am about to write what will be the most painful scene for me to write. One that I know if I hold back any longer, I will not write it at all. Chapter three is three quarters of the way there, and chapter four has begun.
Now, just to clarify something: Twilight will not have wings in this one. I have nothing against the idea of Twilight gaining wings and becoming a princess (I just want to see what happens in the last episode and the fourth season to pass judgement). In fact, being a fan of Doctor Who and Game of Thrones (two shows that ignore the status quo), I’m glad to see the status quo being changed in a cartoon, but I just don’t see the point of going back and changing the plan of an entire story for this addition, even if it is a small one.
I’m probably talking crap right now, so let’s swiftly move on.
As for other stories and ideas, I’ve come up with a few: one is a sequel/prequel to ‘Last of the Dragonlords’ called ‘The Unsung War’. It follows a Dragonlord captain, named Gabriel, who is one of Fluttershy’s ancestors; a group of fellow Dragonlords, and another one of Fluttershy’s ancestors as they try to defend a city called Liberum from a tyrannically ruled Equestria and its large army. This main plot of this story is a highly altered, ponified version of the signing of the Magna Carta and the First Barons’ War in England in the year 1215-1216, only differing in names, background, and other things.
Liberum itself was mentioned in the first story, as was Gabriel, and it was an idea I came up with a long time ago. I will probably do this one at some point, when I’m more confident of writing original characters that can actually carry a story along, but until then, I’m stuck with the mane six.
And now for something completely different. Has anyone else read about this rumour of the new spin-off show called Equestria Girls? If you haven’t, look it up on Equestria Daily as there’s an article on what it could be about, because it is something.
If you have, here’s my opinion, which you are free to ignore, as a quote from Nightmare Moon,
“You’re kidding? You’re kidding me, right?”

I'm neutral about it right now. I want to know more about it before making a decision.
I'll wait and see. Who knows, maybe it'll be just like when I first heard about MLP:FiM, disregarded it as childish and girly show, tried it for the very first time... and became a brony!
Maybe this spin-off won't be so bad. We'll just have to wait and see.
823981 While I don't mind the idea of a spin-off, it's just the idea that they came up with... I just prefer them as ponies, and nothing else. I won't hate anyone else for liking it, it's just not what I want to see.
But as long as they don't pull an episode where the two come together (like Doctor Who did with Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures) then I'll be happy with it.
I just wish they did a Daring Do spin-off, or a Doctor Whooves show with the BBC. That would be something to see.

This was my first opinion about the spin-off show, but afte cold down a little maybe and just maybe i will give it a chance.

824083 My reaction was just like that, accept with a little more shouting and swearing. I'm not entirely sure about giving it a chance, for the thing that drew me to FIM was its fantasy elements and loved all the fantasy things like evil kings, magic that made some sense, fantastical creatures, world building, that sort of thing; I'm a big fantasy nerd so it drew me in quickly. I only started caring for the characters at episode eleven (my heart sank when Twilight cried). I may do, I'll probably see a promo first to see what it's like.

824123 Technically they are the same show despite the fact one's an alternate universe of the other, I'm just saying that it could happen. I mean if they crossedover G.I. Joe and Transformers in the comicbooks then why not EG with MLP?

Well we'll see, it might turn out to be a fake and they have something else planned instead.

I did watch Sarah Jane Adventures (and am impatiently waiting for the next season of Doctor Who), but couldn't get myself to watch Torchwood. I just couldn't bear to finish even just the first episode, there was just something missing there... something that got me hooked to the Doctor and Sarah Jane.
Yeah, a Doctor Whooves show would be awesome! I'd love to see some of the YouTube episodes I watch made into an actual cartoon.
Who do you think would be a better companion to the Doctor? Twilight or Ditzy/Derpy? Because I know two great versions of Doctor Whooves adventures with those two as assistants.
Well if there will be a spinoff, I won't watch it. And i'm pretty sure it will flop. I fell in love with the show for the ponies and the fantasy...... And they say the group pic is fake if you have seen it. Its just a pic that someone posted on tumblr.
I'm also neutral to the idea. Honestly, it's a spin-off and will have no relation or effect on the normal show, So if I don't like it it's not like I have to watch it. =P

). Sarah Jane was awesome, especially the ones with the Doctor appearing (RIP Elisabeth Sladen, you amazing woman) but I understand about Torchwood. Probably it was becasue it was too adult compared to the other two; too serious.
I think Twilight would be a geat companion for the Doctor. Like Clara, the new companion, she's intelligent, witty, and can kick ass when nessecary. Plus seeing Twilight in the TARDIS for the first time would be hilarious. "It's not scientifically possible; you are not scientifically possible!" Or something like that.

Couldn't they have at least have skin that makes them look human, and give them different clothes or one of them with jeans rather than short skirts?!

824283 Good, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. And you could have a go with 'Last of the Dragonlords'. It's a bit darker than my Twishy, and has the mane six with swords... yes, especially Pinkie Pie. But I fear it has more grammar mistakes than my other one, since I wrote LOTD with no idea of what I was doing. I patched it up as best I could, but with less than 300,000 words to go through, it's a bit of a lost cause.
Still, was a lot more successful than I ever dreamed it would be. If you want, go check it out and tell me what you think... I mean, if you want to, that is...

Well, I'm one step closer to finishing the first two chapters, way ahead of schedule than I thought, so it should be a lot earlier than expected. But I might finish the first four chapters and start on the next four before releasing the first two.

'Last of the Dragonlords' is something I've wanted to read for quite a while now, but I've never made an attempt to... I don't read that much outside of TwiShy...

824608 Well in the story, Twilight and Fluttershy have the most time together; as friends, not as shipping. It would mean a lot to me if, when you have the time, of course, to read it, tell me what you think, and what you prefer out of the two I have written.
826393 Well... not enitrely sure about that one. There is a possibility there may be a story where one of the other mane six is revealed to be a Dragonlord, but I'm not sure who yet. Something for another day, maybe.
