    An Ending

Before you get your hopes up, no, this is not the real Loyal. This is her editor, co-author, and friend, 2dextreem. I'm sorry to say I don't think Loyal is ever logging back in of her own accord.

A New Challenger Approaches! · 2:46am Feb 9th, 2013

Hello everyone! Loyal here!
As I am sure you have noticed, there is a new face in the cast of L2L productions. Allow me to introduce everypony to our newest top billing character: Sly Cooper, The Thievius Raccoonis.

Stealing Harmony is a little story that struck me a few weeks back when I finished playing though the Sly Cooper Collection on the PS3 (which I do recommend to anybody with a PS3). This is just a side project that I intend to throw myself into during Writing Blocks that will not be quite as intensely written as Dr. Whooves or Mass Effect. It is not intended to stand alongside my two primary stories and will be updated at random whenever I'm not working on either of them.

As of now, there will be no more stories added to my list as I focus on my two primary tales and occasionally work with Stealing Harmony.

So: Update on all stories:

Dr Whooves: Only Skin Deep - The Doctor is taking a break but will be back from vacation in the next week or so, followed by rapid updates throughout Febuary and wrapping up Only Skin Deep in mid-March if all goes well.

Mass Effect: Shades of Twilight - The next chapter is coming along nicely and should be up later this weekend, although such an update speed is not intended to be common.

Sly Cooper in: Stealing Harmony - There is no set schedule for this once since this is sort of a 'when it feels like being written' kind of story. The first chapter will likely be up before too long, but it's update speed will largely depend on if the fans demand it.

Lastly: Please please PLEASE like if you favorite. Still noting that there are almost twice as many favorites as likes on most all of the stories in the gallery. I still prefer comments, but likes tend to get a story into the feature box where people see them and then add new readers...which makes me happy.

So until next time my friends.

Only Skin Deep next week or so?
Shades of Twilight this week-end? :yay:
And this new story looks funny. :pinkiehappy:

809343 That is the intent. Sly Cooper is a great comedy, but also planning to explore the drama of the situation as well.

DERPDERPDERP TOOOOOOO MUCH COFFEE TO HIDE MY FEELS FROM MYSELF! YAY I'M EMOTIONALLY SHATTERED! Nice stories.

I just read through The Equestrian Equation last week (I'd only read your Doctor Whooves previously), and am happy it's updating so fast. Now I have two things to follow!

Thanks a lot!

Yay for writes block stories! And, while I'm waiting on the end of Traveller before I start reading through your Doctor Whooves fics(though I did read the Pinkie Pie one....), I think I will start on your Mass Effect ones. After I clear out more of the stories on my read later list.
And work more on my stuff.
And the edits I have to make for others...
......
You know what? I'll just say I'll try to get to your stuff. I do look forward to it though.

I never even knew it was rereleased on PS3. :scootangel:

Still noting that there are almost twice as many favorites as likes on most all of the stories in the gallery.

It seems to be a problem for just about every author. I think there are a bunch of users who use the "Favorite" button instead of the "Read Later" button. I've got a 5:3 ratio of Favorites:Likes on My Little Exalt, and it's always been so confusing.

Personally, I've hit like on more stories than I've favorited, and every single story that's on my favorites list I've liked.

I hit the like on things I like and rarely add favorites, unless I deem it something worth following, hence I Favorited Stealing Harmony after the upvote. I know that story will be popular. With or without art to follow each new chapter xD (that was a great Sly Cooper making off with the elements, he looks good in a tiara ;3 lol)

By this weekend, do you mean the 9/10 weekend (Tomorrow/ Day after) or the 16/17 weekend?

If this question seems odd to you sorry it's just that some people don't clarify and end up making a big mess.

Glad to see another that appreciates the talent at Sucker Punch Productions. Now all we need is for you to write an inFamous crossover, and we're set.

I know what you mean about the favorites to likes ratio. It's rather depressing to see so many people following a story, yet they're not willing to give a 'like' in order to help share it amongst the other readers on the site. :ajbemused:

Fortunately for you, I never fave without liking. So there's one for ya. :pinkiehappy:

Also, I'm commander Shepard, and this is my favorite dancing Pinkie Pie .gif on the Citadel.

It's not that simple Rokas. To me a favorite is no different than a bookmark. It's how you keep track of things you're following. But I can follow good stories and not so good stories. Since we no longer have a range of ratings to give, all we can say is either recommend, not recommend or stay silent. Far, FAR too many fics I've started reading have turned to crap later, especially promising ones. So while you promote a fic by upvoting it, you can never take it back if it goes mediocre, all you could do is downvote it later.

I'd probably be a lot more forward about voting things up if I could take that vote back later but you can't so, it's either "Yes read this" or "stay the hell away," makes for a binary mess.

All of that aside, *sigh* another crossover for something I've never heard of. Been happening a lot as of late.

810196
That may be so, but I'd rather do the whole "read this/do not read this" thing. Frankly, that's about where I am when it comes to stories. Besides, we DO have a "read later" list for stories that you may not be willing to give a thumbs up to just yet. Lord knows that's what I use it for. If the complaint is that the Read Later list doesn't let you know when a story updates, well, I say if you're not willing to take 30 seconds out of your time on FIMFiction to sweep through that list every now and again, then what the flip are you doing reading long stories? :derpytongue2:

I'm just saying, man, it'd be nice if people didn't sit on their hands. I've got over 500 favorites on Falling Stars, but only about 350 likes, and I think maybe ten people comment on a regular basis, and most of those are kids with poor grammar that make me cringe. It would just be nice to know that you don't suck, you know?

809866 by 'this weekend' I mean February Ninth and Tenth. Sorry for the confusion. :derpytongue2:

810000 I have seen multiple Infamous Crossovers on FIMfiction and have been disappointed in all of them as NONE of them were able to keep Cole (whether it be good or evil Cole) in character. That said, I don't believe I would ever attempt it simply because it has been done repeatedly and I don't like to harp on repeated memes.
810196 Heh, I am aware that not everybody will be as familiar with Sly Cooper as with other franchises, which is why I went to great lengths to have a recap of Sly's history in the prologue of Stealing Harmony. I made the mistake with Mass Effect: The Equestrian Equation that everybody going into it would already be mass effect fans. Heck, I did a major overhaul of the opening foreword to include character and story introduction videos once I realized that some readers had never played the Mass Effect Series (Which was astounding to me because... well, Greatest Game Series... EVUR!). That won't happen this time and I am hoping that even before the story starts, even Non-Sly Fans will have an understanding of who he is.

The difficultly with a crossover is trying to keep the characters in character and not have them change to much to fit the story (a lesson I've learned the hardway.)
But you've always been consistently good so I expect the Sly Cooper story will be also

Wait... twice as many likes as favorites??? What the heck? It seems like I am backwards from most people. I tend to like most things I read, if you know they aren't bad, and when an author I'm watching posts something I usually like it right away, even if I don't read it for a while. Favoriting for me is a much higher form of praise. I only favorite things if I REALLY enjoy them. Sometimes even if a story is good enough to earn a watch, I don't favorite it.

810536 Oh no you made no mistake here, trust me I'm the idiot.

Is this new Sly Cooper story worth reading if I've never played the games personally, but once saw a friend play it for about 5 minutes and was intrigued?

814457 I like to think it will be worth the read for fans of Sly and new readers alike. The prologue includes a fairly complete rundown of the Sly Cooper story for those not familiar with it so that you're not stumbling in the dark:ajsmug:

Well don't worry if you are belated, Loyal2Luna. Take the time you need before updating.

819427 My editor has had to reel me back from some bad decisions, resulting in a slightly longer post-production process than usual. But don't worry, it shall not be much longer my loving readers.
Please put down the pitch forks and torches.
...
:ajbemused: Seriously, put them down, you're making me nervous.
