    Entry #25: Technical difficulties.

To those of you following "Conquer the Stars", I'm very, very sorry, but I have some bad news for you.

Starman Ghost has requested that I pull "Conquer the Stars" from FiMFiction.net, as he no longer wishes to be associated with "Not Alone".

    Entry #22: Switch.

To my readers, I've got bad news, more bad news, and three pieces of good news.

The bad news is that Starman Ghost has deleted Not Alone from FIMfiction, due to personal reasons. It will be missed.

The other bad news is that as of this moment Conquer the Stars is on Hiatus untill I've written at least two more chapters of Friends of a Solar Empire.

    Entry #21: News.

First of all, Conquer the Stars has nearly reached 700 favorites. This is a lot, and I'd like to thank all of you.

(Fanart will be very much appreciated with electronic cookies.)

Second, I'm currently occupied, so updates will take a lot of time. I apologize.

Second, I'm currently occupied, so updates will take a lot of time. I apologize.

Third, there are some major edits to be done. Formatting fixes, removal of Wall of Texts and other things. Friends of a Solar Empire will get the same treatment.

Fourth, I've finally done something that I've never done before: I played DnD.

Holy shit it's fun.

NNNNRRRRRGGGGG DnD. NNNNNNNRRRRRGGGGG.

Oh, and I have a question: Do you pronounce PER as in purr, or as in P.E.R?

721807

"Per".

Wait, I'm thinking in spanish...how do I write this?

I pronounce the "e" like "Eh".

Bwahaha!!! Yes, be sucked into the tabletop game! I am a forever DM... would be nice to get to play someday. It's been forever since I've played D&D though, we have an Eclipse Phase campaign now. Transhumanist sci-fi RPG set in the not-to-distant future.

721817 Okay, thanks! I'm doing something and I needed to know how to pronounce it.

Urge to coerce others into Eclipse Phase so that I can play a Major Firebird Expy rising...:pinkiecrazy:

It's great. The party consists of a smuggler, an uplifted octopus psychosurgeon(Personality and memory editing), and an AGI swarm of nanobots aboard a scum swarm. The Scum are an unholy individualist anarchist fusion of 4chan and space gypsies, wandering the Sol System via flotillas of patchwork ships. The swarm they are part of is The Stars Our Destination, aboard the We Come to Probe You!. Its under a creative commons licence, so the PDFs are freely available.

"Not all animals are suitable candidates for uplift. To
date, the only creatures that have been successfully
uplifted are those who had already taken a few solid
steps from sentience towards sapience on their own.
Of all of the animal species that existed on Earth, few
more than a dozen were of viable enough intelligence
that they could be modified to human-level cognition.
All of the neuroscience at transhumanity’s disposal is
not enough to elevate canines, bears, horses, badgers,
snakes, sharks, or platypi to the level of thinking apes.
The amount of genetic rewiring and biological modification
to do so is simply beyond current technology.
This doesn’t mean no one is working on it, of
course. Right now, all over the solar system, thousands
of animals are serving as living test subjects in
the genetic arms race to create the next new sapient
life form. I know syndicates that have ongoing betting
pools, if you’re interested. My money’s on dogs
beating out cats."

So unfortunately a biological pony isn't in the system unless you want to be a cutting edge breakthrough or something. HOWEVER, you can always simply be wearing a robotic body modeled after the Pegasus. If you want to stick to the books that is, nothing is stopping you from breaking them and doing things your own way.

You haven't had a true DnD game until you have a player who is a gentleman lich; he smokes your souls with his pipe and he drinks your blood like fine wine!

What edition are you playing?
