Dude, where are my updates?

I was out yesterday morning and saw this cute little pink thing just lying there. I picked it up and apparently now I'm responsible for it. It won't stop yelling at me to feed it and make sure it's nice and clean before it just passes out. Man, caring for a baby is tough...

Anyway, in case you didn't catch it in the last paragraph, my wife and I had our first child yesterday. Before you ask... Yes, they're both doing fine and the baby is healthy. No, I won't be posting pictures.

Now, for the part that you (my ever loyal readers/followers) care about... how this affects my ability to write/post new chapters for Unexpected Confessions. In short: Not good. Obviously, taking care of a baby is a lot of work (especially while the mother is still recovering from the actual birthing process), and equally obviously, taking care of my child hold just a bit more importance than the story does. Sorry.

Fear not, though. I am still committed to finishing the story (and we've still go quite a ways to go), but updates will be coming less frequently now. Where before, a new chapter could be up every 10-14 days (assuming my wonderful pre-readers didn't rip it to shreds too many times), now it will likely be much closer to once every three weeks or once a month. Again, I am still fully committed to finishing the story, there's just a new list of responsibilities that have to come first, like changing dirty diapers and... changing more dirty diapers.

Don't need to make me happy with updates though, raising and caring for a child properly makes me much happier then speedy updates.
The story will last longer now!
(When I read a novel, I blitz it and then need a new one Therefore, I find reading when updates come out very pleasing even though I have to wait.)
