This is pretty much just to get the other blog post off of the top of the list.

Although I have been considering writing a quick second person fic for fun lately. Just to see how it would go over. Second person fics are popular, so if I write one, will the universe break? Will it be like a cat landing on it's face? Toast landing butter side up?

I hate second person fics. It always feels like the author's trying to tell me what to do.

Are they popular? I seem to see plenty of them on the feature box... or at least I used to... but I hate them with a passion. I dunno, maybe I just can't immerse myself in the story well enough, but I don't have that problem with regular fics.

They're definitely popular. Although it might just be second person fics of the clop variety as they're the ones I see in the featured box most often.

I dunno, I tried reading Red Thrush Academy after the big brou-ha-ha about it, but I couldn't really get into it. Maybe just because it made it quite certain that I was reading from the perspective of a dude and I'm not really into that.

Secondly, don't you paint me as the bad guy here. I simply pointed out that there are some really good second person fics, and you should try them out, broaden your horizons. I know, I know, that's like asking me to read a FlutterDash, but hey, at least I read a few of them before I passed my bone crushing judgement =P
