IN WHICH GRILLING MEAT HAPPENED
Okay, first things first, happy new years guys, we made it! yay
Now we just gotta make it to the next one and we'll set another record!
Hello ponies! I missed uploading a chapter of anything yesterday because I was having trouble with the flow of the scenes for Frozen Shadows and since I have two ongoing stories and teased a new one in my blog last week here, I'm gonna put them in an easier to comprehend update here with the order of priority on my list:
I've been with this community since 2014 and just made an account a little while ago and just made a blog now that just shows how absolutely god dam lazy I am. Buut I like talking about fallout equestria so if y'all wanna talk about it I'm down
The livestream is going on RIGHT NOW. Come stalk me as I write and chat with other creative writing fan friends https://picarto.tv/HailKingSombra .
*sigh* The best laid plans of ponies and TimeWitches don’t mean squat in this ponyverse sometimes. Knowing 75% of my most loyal stalker fanbase is 8 hours ahead of me, I fully intended to get this stupid heads-up notice out way earlier today…right BEFORE the hour and a half phone meeting with my website client.
Scribblefest judging is winding down, and I’m working on getting the last few stories judged. Expect some more review posts early next week on the rest of the stories, but I’ll be getting all the rest of them read and judged this evening.
Reminder to those who are participating - I'm but one judge of nine, so my opinions are not the final word on these stories.
Today’s stories:
Kaleidoscope by Winston
Idols by BlazzingInferno
Inadequecy by Regidar
So far I am up to having worked on my current story, "King Sombra's New Sweater" for 5:00 hours on the nose and am at 4,464 words. My goal is to finish it up and publish before Xmas ends. Having peeps there on the chat cheering me on would really help that goal, so grab your eggnog and kick back on the computer after your own celebrations to help me get there and give me and my readers the best Christmas present a Sombra-obsessed fangirl could have - a new story to read of our favorite Umbrum
Heh, I just noticed this. Talking Is Hard had a birthday just a couple of days ago, on the third. I missed the one-year birthday of my own practice collection. Does that mean it's not worth remembering, or is the fact that I'm blogging about it now mean that it's more important that most of my other stuff?
I dunno. Just felt like bringing it up.
I started catching up on what I could yesterday when I saw the crazy amount of notifications I had accumulated. It's certainly going to take me a while and then some to read all of the stories that were published recently. I'm not doing too good; I'll have a blog about that sooner or later. Until then, know that I have some updates for Marigold's story that have been edited and are waiting for readers. The story is nearing the minimum length for a novel and has had so much effort poured into
So, I'd love to share my day's experiences, but I'm not sure if I have it in me to do it right now. Or, more accurately, I'm not sure if I want to stay up until 5 am writing a blog post - today was VERY active and VERY busy (and fun! I met so many people!).
But just wanted to share one final thing that happened at the end of the day.
Yep, you heard me right. Randome, one of the world's laziest people, is going to get to work on some things. Why did you think I only had two stories, and never mentioned plans for other ones? I knew I'd start them, and never finish them. But for once, I'm going to be productive and do some things. See y'all around, after I get to work on some stories and art.
So, I made the schedule, and I try to follow it as best as i can, otherwise I would never ever EVER have written almost 200k words, but sometimes stuff just happens.
That stuff being my group mate's loading a lot of work my way, not that I mind, I rather like doing this stuff, but it has been very time consuming, and coupled with what I think is a writer's block, I haven't written very much. I'm not going to be able to make it till Sunday. I need more time.
I GOT INSPIRED TO MAKE THIS CREAM COLORED BRALETTE OUT OF RIBBON AND LACE BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH ELASTIC. HOWEVER, I HAVE ENOUGH ELASTIC TO MAKE A HALF AND HALF KIND OF BRA. I REALLY HOPE IT TURNS OUT WELL. I FINISHED THE CUPS, AND I'M HALFWAY THROUGH SEWING THE BAND. THEN I HAVE TO CAREFULLY SEW THAT SHIT TOGETHER. IT WILL BE RELIEVING TO GET TO THE PART IN WHICH I PUT THE RIBBON THROUGH THE BAND.
Honored guests and applicable aliases, it's time for a slight paradigm shift from what we usually see around these parts. For the past few months, my buddy and I have been working on a fun project. Y'see, he's got to create a podcast for his college project, and he wanted to base it on something that was fun to talk about. The two of us routinely get into the nitty gritty about what we like and dislike about Star Wars, so it seemed a good fit for me to "guest" star.
Alrighty, kids, I've got a fun one for y'all today. Like, y'all know how some authors—even me, when I remember—do state of the author blogs for particular months? Mine would be mostly working on this one, specific truck.
But first, you know what to do:
So, fun fact, I've watched Nomadland recently.
Okay, I lied, it's not really fun. Still a fact that I've watched it though, so that's not a complete lie. I don't think I could lie to anyone completely if I tried, and believe me, I tried.
It's actually what makes me a great liar, in fact—you slip in just the tiniest bit of the truth, your verisimilitudinous OxyContin, then everyone will believe everything you say, hook, line and sinker.
