Spike has accepted the request that he become the next dragon lord, even though it means he'll have to leave Twilight and leave behind his position of royal advisor. But Spike has reluctantly decided that it's just what he'll have to do.

As Spike prepares to transition to his new title and his new life, he is surprised to be receive a visit from a princess. Not just any princess, but Princess Flurry Heart, herself a relatively new ruler of the Crystal Empire.

Shocked by the news of Spike's change, Flurry Heart opts to have a conversation with her unofficial "Uncle". In particular, she has her own worries and fears related to her job title that she hopes he'll be able to help her with.

The tale of how Anon, a human completely unrelated to the Crystal Empire's royal family, came to be known as Flurry Heart's uncle is a long one. The important part is that Flurry, now sixteen years old, sees him as a role model. She admires his sense of freedom and his carefree outlook on life. That's what she wants for herself, too. Unfortunately, her parents seem dead set on forcing her to be a picture perfect princess.

In spite of how well things have been with Cadence and her family following their reconciliation and newfound bond, Chrysalis is still quite shocked when she is asked to spend the day with Shining Armor and Flurry at the traveling fair. The seemingly benign trip becomes something far more important for both of them as one last awkward wall between the two finally falls.

Just why is it that most of the ponies in her family have wings. But her dad does not?

There is a perfectly normal reason why.

After going through everybody they could possibly ask, it eventually gets decided that Discord shall be the babysitter of not only the Cake Twins but also Flurry Heart. Now, Discord has never looked after babies before, so he falls back on the tried and true entertainment method of telling them stories. With a bit of a Discordy twist of course.

Flurry Heart has grown old enough to begin attending school. However, she may have been spending a little too much time around her father, Shining Armor. She's been acting...different than the other foals during playtime. During a parent-teacher conference, Shining is informed of her behaviors.

Sunburst was the official crystaler. It was his job to help care for the young princess, and he had grown used to and even enjoyed the task. It was a pity, if one asked Flurry Heart, that he lacked a little trait that'd make him the best foalsitter.

Spoiler Traits: TG/Transgender

When everyone else turns out to be too busy to do it, Spike volunteers to babysit Princess Flurry Heart for the day. He does his job all right for the most part, but things begin to shake up a bit when Sweetie Belle stops by and insists she help Spike take care of the baby. After some hesitation, Spike relents and decides to let Sweetie Belle help him. The day goes on and Spike and Sweetie Belle babysit Flurry Heart together, almost like their own little family.
