Turing Test sits down with Gadget, and the two of them lay it all on the table, explaining how they came to their own little situations...
(And sorry it took a little extra time, everyone: but I hope you'll find it worth your wait!)
Hello everyone! Well, the new chapter of The Iron Horse is up and ready for viewing! I hope you enjoy it, because it certainly took a lot of work! The illustration took a lot of tweaking to get, as it is the first illustration so far to feature Turing in her P-Mode. Also, even though the chapter was done fairly early, one scene needed a big
It's here! Those of you suffering after the last cliffhanger can breathe again!
Fillies and gentlecolts, I give you...
Ilustration by Greenfinger! Turing Test gives her elder sister a hug. She hates it.
“I love you, Sister!”
“What are you doing? What is this? Stop that, you idiot!”
So, I'm going to see Porter Robinson live tonight in Houston! His song "Sad Machine" is probably one of the biggest early influences on The Iron Horse and its tone, so today I'd like to post about the song and how it defined Turing Test's voice as I hear it...
You read right! This here chapter is good t' go! An if ya don't feel like moseyin' over there to took at 'er on yer own, then don't fret, cause I got this link! Hope y'all enjoy the start o' this new arc, too, 'cuz it features the much-anticipated, the much-requested, the one-an'-only Applejack!
The update has landed, folks! And it's not a fake chapter this time! It's a short one, but the good news is that you'll get another one in just a week!
It's time to tread into new territory for Turing Test as she attempts to decipher the oddest form of organic behavior: the language of love.
Enjoy the new chapter, ladies and gents. It's...
...with some help from Daft Punk (and Streamable because YouTube was being a butt [might need to click to enable audio]).
This isn’t brave... it’s murder...
No "Human After All?" I know, boo. But new Turing Test one-shot story? Hopefully yay!
The "Chase" arc was one of the earliest parts of the story I had planned for The Iron Horse, and many of the ideas I had made it into the final version around 2 years later when I finally got around to it. For instance (note that I'll be using spoilers before the break for those who haven't read that far yet and none after the break):
In a strange place far below the madding crowd, Turing Test encounters a strange pony living on the fringe of society... but they just might be the change of pace she's been seeking...
"I mean if she were your sister how could you not?"
Exactly, unknown, yet fiendish, Twitter user! Exactly!
And our parents attempting to keep us apart just means I ended up getting a used pregnancy test in the mail.
I honestly don't even think people are supposed to send things like that using the postal service, because um, biohazards or something along those lines.
Texas's propensity for doing stupid shit with its educational system is well-known at this point.
But this may be perhaps my favorite one so far:
Yeah, just a little head's up, folks - the next chapter is going to be just a little late. I was aiming for Sunday or Monday... but Tuesday or Wednesday is more likely. I just finished the chapter and submitted it to the editors today after things kept getting in the way all darn week. Still, it's just an extra day and I think you guys are just going to wub it.
Since The Iron Horse hit 1000 likes a little while ago, I asked Greenfinger to come up with a little something to mark the occasion as a side project. Here we see Turing Test and her siblings each doing their own thing. Thank you so much for all your support these last few years!
Merry Christmas, folks!
